Adobe Creative Suite 6 Launch Camp: Saturday, June 16, 2012, Long Beach Marriott, 9 AM to 2:45 PM

Great Speakers, Free Parking, Raffle Prizes: All for only $15 admission!

RSVP on Eventbrite

OCMMA is excited to be partnering with Adobe Systems, the Adobe Technology Exchange (ATX), and the South County Photo Club for a special day of learning. Adobe has just released Creative Suite 6, and the software enhancements are amazing. Prepare to be dazzled by new features, improved performance, and a whole new look to the user interface.

We are hosting two great speakers with years of experience and depth of knowledge: Jack Davis and Chris Griffith. You'll walk away with a great understanding of what the new CS6 has to offer, and plenty of ideas about how YOU can specifically use many of the applications in your own workflow.

Morning Session:

Jack Davis will take you through new features and workflow for CS6. Graphic designers, photographers, and web-savvy creatives will see him take a project from concept to reality, including preparation for an e-pub, using Adobe Photoshop Touch, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Adobe Creative Suite 6. You will see awesome new tools and features in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and more.

Afternoon Session:

I. Main Meeting Room: More with e-pub development and Photoshop

Jack will continue with an in depth demonstration of e-pub development, Adobe Photoshop, and design tools. He'll share methods he's developed in Photoshop that are quick to apply and easy to change, producing beautiful artistic effects for your photographs.

II. Break Out Room: Developing Mobile Solutions with Adobe CS6

Publishing your content for mobile is filled with lots of technical choices, from choosing the platform to the development technology. In a separate break out room, Chris Griffith will demonstrate how CS6 can help get your content to your audiences no matter the device they are using.
In Part 1 of this session, learn how Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 can help take our ideas to the mobile web and beyond. Learn how to use Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Fireworks and PhoneGap to create native mobile applications.
We will also look at a new technology from Adobe, code-named "Shadow", which will greatly improve your mobile development workflow.

In Part 2, we will look at what's new in Adobe Flash Pro CS6. See how you can author incredible experiences in Flash and publish for iOS and Android platforms with ease! We will explore the new HTML5 publishing features (Create.js) that have been added, as well as improvements in 3D and gaming.

Come prepared to make copious notes!

There will be one break in the morning and a short break for a no-host lunch. The hotel is offering CS6 Launch attendees a complete buffet, including tip and tax for $14.00, or bring your own lunch.

Raffle Prizes:
